About the Founder

Upon earning her MBA from the Carlson School of Management, Therese Balach worked for several Twin Cities business brokerage firms. In 1990, Therese founded Extrapreneur, Inc., a full-service business brokerage and consulting firm. As an intermediary and consultant, Therese brings extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of business valuation, negotiation and exit strategy development. With a track record of more than twenty years, Therese has worked for hundreds of clients in the service, manufacturing, distribution and retail industries.

In 1998, Therese wrote a continuing education course, "How to Price, Market and Sell a Small Business". From 1998 - 2003, she taught the course for ProSource Educational Services, the largest professional licensing institution in the state of Minnesota. In 2001, Kaplan Professional Schools acquired ProSource, and Therese's coursework is still being taught today.
